Dot NAME Domains

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain is the single TLD planned for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are famous by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to order john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Existing 3rd-level domains remained functional.

Through our company, you can acquire your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to switch the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the present domain registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been completed. There are no special conditions on who can secure a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the objective behind its establishment alive, the Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.
